Summer training provides athletes the opportunity to accelerate their skills, improve their conditioning and create a competitive advantage for summer sports, for select team try-outs and for their return to the field, court or ice to compete this fall. Athletic Republic's “Summer of Speed” training program combines an evidence-based training approach with an individualized, flexible plan to help every athlete get the most out their summer training.

The Summer of Speed program was designed to follow our industry-leading Test-Teach-Train™ approach to help athletes of all ages improve their speed, stamina, power, agility and sensory skills. Completing a typical 6 week / 20 session training program, players realize the following results: 

  • 0.2 – 0.4 seconds decrease in 40-yard-dash time (equates to 6-10’ of separation)
  • 50% improvement in rate of recovery
  • 20% gain in leg strength (peak force and power)
  • 33% advancement in foot speed
  • 2 - 4” increase in vertical jump
